| Join RiverLink for a community forum focusing on the 'exceptional' drought- the most severe level- in the French Broad River watershed. Speakers from Duke University's Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, Altamont Environmental, the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, RiverLink and more TBA will cover various aspects of the drought including groundwater, economic impact, effects on fisheries and wildlife, the role of stormwater management and low impact development.
The forum will take place on February 22 at 8am at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College's Ferguson Auditorium and will be followed by an optional tour of the North Carolina Arboretum's stormwater best management practices. The forum is free and open to the public, but there will be a fee for the Arboretum tour. |
