You have been invited to participate in a research study conducted by Rachel Richardson, a graduate student at the University of Cincinnati, and Dr. Susie Mendelsohn, a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. The purpose of this study is to gauge the ways in which blogging about eating disorders and eating disorder recovery affects one's recovery from an eating disorder. If the study is validated, your responses may be used in future publications on the subject.

To participate in the study, you need to maintain an active public or private blog addressing eating disorders or your personal experiences in eating disorder recovery. Your blog does not have to be dedicated solely to these subjects nor do topics must be personal in nature, but these issues must be addressed on the blog in order to take part in the survey. Study participants of all ages and genders, who suffer from any eating disorder and who are in any stage of recovery are welcome to take part in the study.

However to participate your blog cannot be "pro-ana" or "pro-mia." This survey is intended to gauge the ways in which blogging about eating disorders affects one's recovery from an eating disorder. If you do not want to recover from your eating disorder, please do not participate.

Although it is required that you list the website address for your blog in order to verify study eligibility, you have the right to remain anonymous. Your participation in this study is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time. If you have any questions about the study, e-mail Rachel Richardson at rachel (at) the-f-word.org.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to participate in our survey. We value your feedback.
