AAP-CA3 CHAPTER ELECTION
VOTE between June 15- July 31, 2008

As per our by-laws (approved in late 2007), our chapter's nominating committee met to review interested candidates and establish a ballot for the chapter election. The ballot has been approved by the AAP-CA3 Executive Board.

The process was open to the potential of having two candidates competing for the positions of Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary, as described in our Chapter Election Policy; however we have had only one decide to run for each position in this election.

We adhered to all of the tenets of our Nomination and Election Policy, as well as to those in the By-Laws.

The ballot is:
President: Pradeep Gidwani, MD MPH
Vice-President: Dean Sidelinger MD, MSEd
Secretary: Wendy Wright, MD
Treasurer: Patricia Cantrell, MD

Please REMEMBER TO VOTE between June 15- July 31, 2008.

In order to be counted, your ballot must be received by the Chapter not later July 31, 2008 at 9PM. In order to achieve a valid membership vote and election, the Chapter must receive ballots from not less than ten percent (10%) of the membership (which is our quorum requirement), which amounts to at least 44 ballots. The ballot measure seeking approval of the corporate name change requires the affirmative vote of a majority of the proper ballots received in a timely fashion.
