Community Input on Phase 2 Building-Milepost 5

Milepost 5 is a community of creatives being developed in the up and coming neighborhood of Montavilla in Portland, Oregon. The unique facilities consist of 2 buildings. Phase 1, The Lofts, is completed and nearly 50% full of artists and creatives, living, working, and collaborating.

Milepost 5 is entering the final stages of design for its Phase 2 building, The Studios. We envision live/work apartments and studio spaces, community gathering spaces, shared workshop and studio space, a gallery dedicated to showing and selling resident artists' work, a café, a performance space and other spaces for creative businesses.

Though we have many ideas, we want to know what you, as an artist and creative, need. We want to make sure we are developing the best spaces we can for creatives to work and live. Your input in this survey will be read carefully and will directly influence how we renovate the building. The design team will be using the responses received as guideposts and road maps as we finalize our planning.

This survey deals directly with the live/work apartments aspect of the project. We have the capacity to build between 80 and 100 spaces.
