Community Exchange Network of Portland is catalyzing a new way for community and economy to relate.

The Community Exchange Network of Portland provides a community currency program that makes your dollars go further. The Kurrent! is a participant issued medium of exchange (currency) that can be spent at any participating business. Kurrents! are measured in U.S. Dollars for practicality.

Our program empowers businesses to issue and donate community currency (Kurrents!) to nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits sell Kurrents! at par with the dollar as a fundraiser, and individuals return to the participating businesses and receive a discount on their purchase. This creates a value add for all participants.
