UPDATE: The State Senate did not vote on marriage equality on 11/20.  However, a vote could take place as soon as December 1 or later.  Call your NY State Senator.  If you have already called and your senator is not suporting marriage equality or is unsure, call again!

Contact your State Senator today and let them know you support same sex marriage.

1) Let yourState Senator or representative/staff member know that you a registered to vote and that you a constituent.  Provide them with your zip code.  Provide them with your address if requested.  If you a registered in the same party as the representative, please let them know that as well. 

Your opinion is taken more seriously when you provide this information.


2) Voice your support for same sex marriage (marriage equality). 

3) Ask your State Senator or their representative/staff member the following questions.

a) Do you (he or she) support gay marriage?

b) Will you (he or she) support calling a vote on same sex marriage at next week's extraordinary session?

c) Will you (he or she) support calling a vote on same sex marriage in the 2010 session?

d) Will you (he or she) vote in favor of same sex marriage?
