2010 MetaData Market Survey(tm) - Focus on ERP/CRM Applications

Text Block:
Dear Data Management Professional  -  We Need Your Input!Silwood Technology (www.silwoodtechnology.com) and Gavilan Research Associates (www.gavilanresearch.net) invite you to participate in the 2010 MetaData Market Survey.  This year's survey has a research emphasis on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications (such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (such as Oracle, Siebel and salesforce.com).The IT landscape for Global 5000 companies has been transformed over the last 10-15 years by the widespread adoption of ERP/CRM packages. A key hope was that ERP/CRM packages would resolve many of the long standing, enterprise-level data management issues that had built up from using/maintaining multiple legacy applications.  This Survey seeks to identify the extent of the changes and effectiveness that have occurred in data management practices as a result of the adoption of application packages. It seeks to elicit the views of practitioners (such as yourself) as to the tools, techniques and methods that could enhance the role of data/metadata management in improving the quality of data and application development, in both the package era and beyond. There are 13 questions in total.  The Survey should take 5 minutes to complete (please answer ALL questions). At the end of the Survey (if you identify yourself) we will send you a FREE copy of the Summary of Findings whitepaper (worth US $125) when it becomes available in mid March. Thank you for your participation!
