BE AWARE: This application is lengthy. Be prepared to spend over 30 minutes--or as much as 45 minutes--completing it. We know this is quite a commitment of time, but you are committing up to perhaps 15 years or more of your life to share with the dog you are considering adding to your family.


Belgian Sheepdogs are a demanding breed, and certainly not for everyone. Also, there are certain phases of life and circumstances during which owning a Belgian can be very difficult. It's unfair to a puppy to place him or her in that sort of situation early in their lives in the hope that things will be "stabilizing and getting better in time".

We will not be making our decision to either qualify nor disqualify a potential puppy home based solely upon any single answer within this questionnaire. We ask these questions to make sure our puppies find a match with owners in the best homes possible for each of them. It also helps us to get an idea of where our dogs are going, and who will be caring for and loving them.

This completed application will help us know you better. It is very important that we find the best home for every puppy. As breeders, we have a true love for the Belgian breed, and consider our dogs a part of the family. We have confidence in the quality and bloodlines of our dogs, so naturally it's hard seeing these little black fur-balls leave.

After all, we have raised these puppies since birth and watched them grow. We have nurtured them and we don't want to have wasted that time and energy placing a dog with someone who does not have a passion for the dog's interests as well as their own.

We want to be prudent in ensuring that Denim Dogs have the best chance at a long, healthy, fulfilling life with humans that value them and will care for them as a part of their family.
