The National Association of Insurance Commissioners is in the process of establishing the final definitions on Medical Loss Ratios that will be presented to HHS. One possibility would be rating by state, rather than all association members together. This would essentially eliminate the "power of the association", which Communicating for America believes is a valuable benefit to our members purchasing their own insurance, providing the buying power and administrative savings of employer based group coverage and the flexibility and portability of individual coverage.
Do you agree that individuals purchasing their own insurance should should be allowed to continue benefiting from the "power of the association"?
