There are many people who believe that music and arts education is critical for all children! Parents, educators, business leaders, arts leaders and government leaders support music education. Other countries, including many in the Far East, continue to expand arts and music education programs with the knowledge that this training will help to provide for future creation and innovation, and giving students the skills to better interpret the world around them.

With clear evidence that music training leads to higher test scores, higher graduation rates and more successful college experiences, it is critical that the SMART Foundation expand its efforts at a more aggressive rate to stop the erosion of this important curriculum.
