4If a knitting technique book offered a free table of contents from which you could pick what chapters you wanted, would you be inclined to buy just the parts you want?
Note: the parts pricing would likely be slightly higher proportionately than the for whole book.  For instance, a quarter of the book would cost more than 1/4 of the total price, but if that's all you needed, you've saved money.
