Tourney Town, a free, multi-day festival of the NCAA Women's Final Four, combines live music and entertainment on Center Stage. Located on the East Corner by the New Orleans Arena, fans can experience corporate activation areas, giveaways, licensed merchandise sales, concessions, roving entertainment and live musical performances by local, regional and national talent. The Talent Showdown Finals, showcasing regional cheer groups in Tourney Town, will take place on Center Stage on Saturday, April 6th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
The winning group of the Talent Showdown will have the honor of performing during half time, at the WBCA High School All-America Game that afternoon at 4:30 p.m. inside the New Orleans Arena. The winning group will also get vip passes to the Taio Cruz concert on Sunday, April 7th. Entrants: Cheer Squads How it works: 1. Application due by Monday, April 1, 2013. 2. Each squad is required to submit this application and a performance video; email to firstname.lastname@example.org. 3. Acts will be selected by the Talent Showdown Committee. 4. Squads will be notified by email if selected to participate in the Talent Showcase/down. 5. Participation is free. Basic requirements: 1. Squads will perform (1) cheer and (1) dance routine. 2. A parent/guardian must sign the application if squad is under the age of 18 years. 3. Squads must be well-prepared and well-rehearsed. 4. Performance must be appropriate and family-friendly. 5. Act can be no longer than 4 minutes. 6. Talent Show Production Committee reserves the right to reject or approve acts. 7. Any musical accompaniment must be provided by the participant on CD only, not to exceed 4 minutes
