Renewable Energy Bulk Buy Scheme

Green Street and its networks are backing a community bulk buy energy scheme founded by Power Group Purchasing to help residents and businesses negotiate a bulk buy discount for renewable electricity and gas…. or green power as it is commonly called. This is a ground breaking move to increase the uptake of green power by providing it at lower costs.
 

The scheme works by banding together the individual buying power from every participating home or business before inviting SE QLD energy retailers to bid for selection with their best price and service offering for renewable energy.

The best bid will be offered to all households and businesses which have registered their interest. Everyone in South East Queensland is eligible to register.

The greater the numbers, the better the bargaining power! The savings could be very significant. Please tell your friends and neighbours and email the details to your online networks. 

 

If the tender responses are as competitive as we hope they will be, it will enable homes and businesses to buy some percentage of green power at lower prices than before. 

This will have the dual effect of reducing people’s energy costs for green power at the same time as reducing carbon emissions and helping to build more sustainable communities and businesses.

It is proposed that people will have the choice of buying green power at  levels of 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. 

We respect your privacy. Your personal information will not be sold to any third parties. It will be used by PowerGroup Purchasing when necessary to communicate any updates to you. The information you provide may also be shared with only the winning energy retailer.
