Mark your calendars for the 2012 Taste of River North!
Hosted by the River North Residents' Association, the Taste of River North is a professionally managed, family-friendly, riverfront festival featuring great live entertainment and showcasing the area's wonderful dining, art and design scenes.

Taste of River North at a glance:

Schedule -  5-10pm on Fri July 20, Noon to 10pm on Sat, July 21th and 11am to 6pm on Sun, July 22th.

Site - The south section of Ward Park, along the river walk, on Erie west of Kingsbury and on Kingsbury between Ontario and Huron.

Entertainment - The area's best food, multiple live bands, scores of unique exhibitors and an array of special attractions!

Anticipated attendance - Between 12,000 and 14,000!

Why we do it - this is the 11th year of our neighborhood festival and although it continues to grow in size and scope, our goal is still to produce a safe, enjoyable and successful event that respects the neighborhood and supports the local business community.

Our volunteers receive free admission and food tickets, collectable souvenir T-shirts and terrific thank-you gifts.  We also provide a choice of volunteer training sessions with refreshments and great support during the event!

Number of Shifts

Volunteers who wish to do so are welcome to work more than one shift at the event. Those who do will receive 10 free food/beverage tickets and a thank-you gift for each shift served, but only one T-shirt.

Jobs

Gate Greeters welcome guests at one of the 4 entrances to the event site and use a hand counter to track the number of attendees. They request and collect the suggested donation and stamp the hands of those who donate.

Information Booth Staff work at the information booth near the main gate, answer attendee questions, provide information about the event and the RNRA, and sell event T-shirts.

Kid's Area Attendants work at the kid's area near the playground. They supervise the Jumping Jack and assist with crafts and other activities. Note: parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times.

Management Office Assistants work in the event management office located near the event site. They assist the office manager with counting and recording tickets and cash receipts and providing support to volunteers working at gates and booths.

Utility Infielders stand in for volunteers who are unable to perform their duties due to illness or emergency and assist with various tasks as needed during the event.
