NBDA's National Bike Summit Scholarship Program is designed to support the cause of cycling in America by making it affordable for NBDA dealers to participate in the National Bike Summit in Washington, D.C., March 4-7, 2013.

 There are 25 scholarships of $1,000 for selected first-time attendees who are bicycle dealers and NBDA members (both bike shop owners and key staff are eligible to apply). This money will pay for a Summit registration ($375) and travel, lodging and food ($625).

 If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please fill out this on-line form by January 10, 2013. Scholarship winners will be contacted by January 25, 2013.

The fine print
* To be eligible to win you must be an NBDA member retail store with a physical location and have not previously attended the National Bike Summit
* Applications are due by January 10, 2013
* Recipients will be selected by NBDA and be notified by January 25, 2013.
* Priority will be given to recipients from states and regions previously lacking representation.
* Recipients will need to make travel and lodging arrangements on their own; winners will automatically be registered for the Summit.
* NBDA will reimburse all scholarship recipients within two weeks of submission of receipts of actual costs incurred, including travel, hotel and meals up to $625.
* Scholarship recipients are required to participate in all sessions of the National Bike Summit March 4-7, 2013 in Washington, D.C. in order to be eligible for reimbursement. This includes the Congressional visits as arranged by the League of American Bicyclists.
