Thank you for taking the time to give us your thoughts about
the Bartram Mile. We invite you to lend your voice to this survey - and
come to public meetings (more information here). With your help, we can
transform our Schuylkill riverfront into a vital public green space enjoyed by
our community and members. This planning process is being led by
Philadelphia Parks and Recreation in partnership with the John Bartram
Association and Schuylkill River Development Corporation. It focuses on a
one-mile segment of vacant river frontage on the west bank of the Schuylkill
between Grays Ferry Avenue and 58th Street. This
new open space has the potential to provide riverfront access and recreation
opportunities to an underserved neighborhood as well as help restore an
important watershed.
