Annual Conference Session Proposal

VASCD's 2018 Annual Conference will be held in Williamsburg on November 29 and 30. Our theme is "Beyond Measure". We are particularly interested in sessions focusing on students' ability to solve real-world problems, think deeply and flexibly, and drive their own growth- learning goals that we value more highly than test scores alone. 

Exciting, inspiring work is going on in Virginia's schools every day, and we are anxious for practitioners to share that work through the VASCD conference. We welcome your proposal! Questions should be directed to Conference Chair Julie Myers at myersj@fcpsk12.net or to Laurie McCullough at vascded@gmail.com. 

Proposals must be submitted by July 15. Selections will be made and communicated by August 1. Concurrent sessions will be 75 minutes in length.

We value the sharing and cross-pollinating of ideas! Our belief is that all of us have questions and all of us have value to offer; our intention is that presenters as well as those not presenting will have opportunities to interact and share throughout the conference.  Presenters must be registered for the conference.

All conference attendees, including presenters, are responsible for the costs associated with conference registration, hotel rooms if needed, and transportation to and from the conference.
