WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
This workshop is designed for those in the k-12 education space doing work in Adams County, to ground participants in the connections between the state Unified Improvement Planning efforts and the continuous improvement framework. The session will include a morning session focused grounding in the key elements of improvement planning, identifying site-specific needs with an optional afternoon workshop for those that would like to review and update their UIP with coaching support from CDE. The session will be open to any in education who would like to ground their understanding in the work of continuous improvement more deeply, including district or school leaders, individuals, teams, aspiring administrators, etc.

This session will help prepare you and your team for participation in the 'Actualizing Your UIP' workshop during which you will engage in developing a Continuous Improvement cycle in support of meeting your school improvement goals.

WORKSHOP OUTCOMES
Participants will:
  • Develop an understanding of how to leverage the state improvement planning process in support of a continuous improvement model to engage schools in accomplishing their improvement efforts and CAN work, ultimately improving the outcomes for Adams County.
  • Understand the multiple purposes, key terminology and critical aspects of the UIP process and identify connections to continuous improvement processes.  
  • Have support in making real time modifications and clarifications to their existing UIP's with coaching support.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
District administrators, school administrators, building leadership teams, and CAN members who are working in schools.  
 
ARE THERE ANY PREREQUISITES?
Nope!

IS THERE A COST TO ATTEND?
This workshop is FREE for anyone who does work in Adams County School Districts. If you do not work in Adams County School Districts, a fee may apply. These fees help ACYI cover the cost of the participants' participation in the workshop, including food, materials, and space. WHAT SHOULD MY TEAM BRING TO THE WORKSHOP?
Participants staying for the work session should bring a computer to access the online UIP.

WHAT POST-WORKSHOP SUPPORT WILL BE OFFERED?
You will have access to coaching from both CDE and ACYI and the ability to attend additional workshops including 'Actualizing Your UIP'.
