Help us celebrate those that give life to the arts

The Arts Council's Applause Awards recognize individuals, businesses, artists, educators, arts organizations and advocates who've made significant contributions to the arts in the capital region tri-counties, through their leadership, commitment, vision and support. These awards are presented annually at our December Holiday Glitter event.

To encompass the Arts Council's diverse community role, the award categories have been created to best represent our membership and our leadership as creative placemaking ambassadors. Award nominations are based on artistic excellence, sustained contributions, unusual achievements, perseverance and a deep commitment to the arts and cultural community.

To make a nomination, fill out the following form. (For multiple nominations, start a new form.) The nomination deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018. Please call 517-372-4636 with any questions, and feel free to pass the survey link on to other individuals who will endorse your nominee. Their completed form will act as a letter of support.
