RequiredRequired Question(s)
Thank you to our Moose and Salmon Sponsors!

Thank you for your interest in participating in our 2019 Annual Business Conference - Evolving With Our Business, to be held May 8 - 9, 2019, at the Egan Center in downtown Anchorage, Alaska.

In 2019, the theme is Evolving With Our Business. We are seeking presentations that will highlight regulatory changes (i.e. 8(a) federal contracting), technical developments and investment opportunities (i.e. micro grids/PPP infrastructure), business models that work well within Alaska Villages (i.e. peonies, retail), business compliance topics (i.e. board campaign compliance), and new program development (i.e. Trust accounts, philanthropic giving, death benefits)

The goal is to feature inclusive sessions, some will not necessarily have all of the answers but are seeking to have interactive discussions with our membership. Facilitated round table  discussions can be on any ANCSA related topic - carbon credits, Indian gaming in Alaska, creating stock for Natives born after 1971, etc. If you have an idea for a session and not all the pieces, ANVCA can help you put together a good session. Just propose your idea!

Please fill out the form below so we can have your proposals on file as we plan. In the months and weeks leading up to the conference, we will be in contact with you regarding your breakout placement in the agenda. Due to the amount of presentation proposals that we receive every year, the ANVCA team thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation in the event that we are unable to schedule your presentation within your requested breakout session.

Please also note that submitting a presentation proposal now does not constitute registration to the conference. Sponsorship opportunities and registration will be available in the coming weeks with special details for confirmed presenters.

Important information for presenters
  • All submissions are due March 1st 2019 - No exceptions
  • Breakout sessions typically last one hour, while keynote sessions have more flexibility

About ANVCA
With nearly 200 Alaska Native Village Corporations throughout Alaska, Village Corporation leadership recognized a need for a unified voice among the corporations and believed that Village Corporations would benefit from sharing their best practices. In 2008 the Alaska Native Village Corporation Association (ANVCA) was officially established as a 501(c) 6 nonprofit organization. ANVCA is the only organization dedicated to furthering the collective interests of Alaska Native Village Corporations through communicating their successes, advocating for their political interests, and providing opportunities to connect with other Village Corporations. While every Village Corporation has priorities and challenges unique to their organization and the shareholders they serve, many of the same issues impact Village Corporations statewide.  ANVCA provides the venue to explore solutions.

Mission
ANVCA promotes the success of our Village Corporations and protection of our Native lands.

Vision
The vision of ANVCA is to support the mission with projects and activities that provide:
  • Education to Village Corporations
  • Advocacy for Village Corporations
  • Outreach to and inclusion of Village Corporations statewide
  • Village Corporation sustainability
