Any nominee who has made significant contributions to Hunter Education the previous year and significantly advanced the cause of safe hunting on a voluntary basis through extraordinary service in training or education is eligible.

After the nomination has gone through the awards committee process, the final decision will be made by the IHEA-USA Board of Directors.
Note: This award is for an instructor's efforts in Hunter Education over the last year. Work in Hunter Education over the instructor's lifetime will receive consideration but is not the primary criteria on which the award is judged and given.  This award is sponsored by Federal/Vista Outdoors.
