ASMP Copyright Infringement Survey
In working with Members of Congress, U.S. Senators, and their staffs to secure introduction and passage of the CASE Act, we have been asked for hard data to support our claim that infringement income loss is a huge problem for visual creators.

To respond to that request, we are sending out this survey to get real data to back up individual stories of infringements that have caused harm to photographers, graphic artists, and illustrators. Your responses will be helpful in enabling us to have meaningful conversations about the scale of infringement as a problem, and how it translates down to the lives of individual photographers as well as other visual artists.

To have a clear sense of the context for the CASE Act and our ongoing lobbying efforts for passage of this legislation, please see Congressional testimony of former ASMP Board Chair Jenna Close in support of the CASE Act.

Please take five minutes and answer these questions to help us convince Congress that copyright infringement is a real problem with a real impact on the ability of creatives to make a living. We also understand that your responses may require you to provide estimates as exact numbers may not be available or accessible.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this survey.
