Leadership FPRA 2019/20 Class Space Coast Scholarship

<The Leadership FPRA Scholarship is open to anyone who is currently an active/paid member of the Florida Public Relations Association (Space Coast Chapter Only) and is interested in being a part of the Leadership FPRA Class of 2019/20. Applications will be reviewed by a committee from the Space Coast FPRA board of directors and one recipient will be selected. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, May 31, 2019 to be considered. A recipient will be selected and notified no later than June 5, 2019. The scholarship will cover class registration only (Value $750) and does not include transportation to/from the classes or hotel room costs/travel expenses.  Receipt of this scholarship does not guarantee acceptance in to the program. The scholarship recipient MUST apply separately through the State office to be a part of the LEAD FPRA Class (https://www.fpra.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/leadershipfpra-application-2019.pdf). Applications to register for the class are due no later than June 17, 2019 for the program.  Once the recipient is notified of their acceptance, the Space Coast Chapter will submit payment for the registration fee for the class to the State Office.  There are typically seven classes that are part of this program.  The first and last classes are held at the State Conference in August.  Each class requires no more than two days of travel.  Locations vary throughout the year.  A schedule of classes for the new year will be released by State soon.  If Space Coast scholarship recipient is not selected to participate in the class, scholarship will not apply for future years.  Recipient will have to apply again in the future to be eligible for any future scholarships. >

Would your current employer support your attendance at the LEAD FPRA classes (i.e. time-wise)?  There are typically seven classes that are part of the overall course structure for LEAD FPRA that may require travel.  Each of the seven classes would require a two day commitment at the most.  Two of the classes are part of the State Conference (the first session and graduation).
