Each year, the Bishop Chamber of Commerce organizes several holiday events.  Believe it or not, we're already thinking about 2020 and we're seeking feedback so we can provide the best possible service to our community.

Some background information:

For the past five years, the parade has been held in the evening with lighted floats and a 4:30 pm start time.  This year, we had a record 41 parade entries.  Prior to 2015, it was held in the morning with an 11:00 am start time.  When the parade was in the daytime, we usually had about 30 entries.

This year, we changed the "Shop Local Raffle."  Previously, you would enter by getting the merchant map stamped on the Street of Lights night.  For 2019, we placed raffle boxes at participating merchants.  Shoppers could enter for one full week leading up to parade night.

In 2018, 38 participating merchants received an average of 29 stamps per location.  in 2019, 37 businesses participated and the average number of entry tickets in each merchant box was 36...an increase of 24% more potential shoppers per merchant.

Our staff has heard many positive comments and received some suggestions for improvement regarding the recently completed holiday festivities.  We're always open to new ideas and we appreciate you taking time to provide feedback so we may evaluate our programs.  We're always looking for ways to improve and your opinions matter!
