Action Plan IV Strategic Planning Survey
In June of 2016, the Gulf of Mexico Alliance (GOMA) released the Governors' Action Plan III for Healthy and Resilient Coasts, the third in a series of action plans to address issues common to all five Gulf States in a voluntary and cooperative way. Action Plan III was an ambitious five-year plan combining new and ongoing regional priorities including coastal resilience, data and monitoring, education and engagement, habitat resources, water resources, wildlife and fisheries, and cross-cutting issues including marine debris, ecosystem services, and conservation, restoration and resilience planning.
As Action Plan III is reaching completion, it is time to begin strategic planning for GOMA's next action plan. As part of the strategic planning process, the Gulf of Mexico Alliance is re-evaluating the focus areas under its six priorities and three cross team initiatives with input from state and federal agencies, academia, non-governmental organizations and businesses in the region.
Answers to the following questions will be provided to the Gulf of Mexico Alliance Management Team for consideration and inclusion in the next action plan.  Please provide your input by Friday, February 14, 2020 so it can be used to inform GOMA's strategic planning efforts.
