Dear Library Patron,

We need your help. You have probably heard about the many challenges and questions facing public libraries in this age of fast-changing media and technology, especially in light of the recent Covid-19 pandemic and challenges public libraries have faced across the nation to continue to provide a wide variety of library materials, programs and services safely and effectively. To meet these many challenges, and to remain eligible for essential state and federal aid, the Board of Trustees is required to assemble and file with the state a five-year strategic plan. This 2022-2026 plan will address everything we have and do at the Library while setting goals for the future.

We must adapt to meet the changing technologies and future needs of our patrons, while maintaining the best of what we do and have always done, to keep the Hingham Library in the top rank of public libraries. But we can't do this without you, so we're asking you to complete this anonymous survey to share with us your thoughts about what the Library is today and what you'd like it to become in the future. You can fill it out online or pick up and return a paper version located just inside the main doors of the Library. The entire survey takes only about ten minutes, and your input is critical in helping us to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of the entire community. Please complete the survey by March 31, 2021 and we'll post the results online in the near future. Thanks for your help!
