Who will be the beneficiaries of your group's fundraising efforts? Typically beneficiaries of project donations are other 501(c)3 charities. If your project's intended fundraising will be for a non 501(c)3 charitable cause, please provide a short explanation about your proposed beneficiaries.

Is your group a 501(c)3 public charity or do you plan to seek 501(c)3 status?

If your project is accepted as a CORE Cause, the project's revenue and expense activity must be conducted exclusively through the CORE Foundation bank account opened specifically for your group.

A CORE Foundation leader will be a signer on your account.

A minimum $1,000 opening deposit is required from the Cause to activate the bank account. Opening deposit can be sourced from fundraising with CORE's assistance. Prior to activation of the Cause's bank account, project revenue will be maintained in the CORE Operating Account and available for your project's use only.

Any existing bank accounts or PayPal type and/or fundraising accounts belonging to the group prior to becoming a CORE Cause will need to be closed. The group may transfer their existing funds into the CORE Foundation bank account opened specifically for your project.

Any existing "Donate" buttons and / or other fundraising links belonging to the sponsored project prior to becoming a CORE Cause must be re-coded to integrate with the CORE Foundation banking and accounting procedures.

As a CORE Cause, your project's financial activities will be reported on CORE Foundation's annual IRS Form 990 tax filings.

As a CORE Cause, any non 501(c)3 beneficiaries of your project's contributions must be approved by CORE Foundation Directors prior to engaging in any fundraising campaigns for those beneficiaries.
