NCEA DISTINGUISHED GRADUATE AWARD
Each year during Catholic Schools Week, we recognize one of our successful alums by presenting the National Catholic Education Association's Distinguished Graduate Award.

Bill Myers has been an educator at Benet Academy since receiving his Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois in 2003.  In August, 2006, he and his wife took teaching positions at the Redeemer International School  of Thailand, Bangkok where he created and executed a World History curriculum for 9th & 10th graders for a wide variety of ELL students.

He returned to Benet in 2008 as a member of their History Department and in May, 2011, he was named Assistant Principal of Curricular and Professional Affairs.  In recent years he has been instrumental in refining, organizing, and focusing professional development activities for faculty and co-chairing the Lisle school's effort to secure accreditation through the Independent Schools Associations of the Central States (ISACS), thereby making Benet one of the few schools in the Midwest that enjoys dual accreditation with both
